The Social Network Villain

Villain: (in a film, novel, or play) a character whose evil actions or motives are important to the plot.

Aaron Sorkin and David Fincher together wrote and produced The Social Network. This film is one of my personal favorites. The story of the creation of Facebook is just as twisted as the drama and content we see on Facebook. At first when I watched the film I did not think that there was a villain. I thought that everyone played a role in the demise of their own relationships with one another and that the drama was a product of maturity. However, the common denominator in every relationship in the film is Mark Zuckerberg. I think that while he is the creator and seems to be an okay guy, he is the villain. he is the one who thickens the plot, he has many intentional and unintentional evil actions and motive that affect the lives of those around him. While he does have characters like Sean Parker bringing him down, he is still the reason for his own legal and social problems he encounters. What do you think?
